After the cancellation of Leo audio launch, the announcement was made regarding the release of Leo Second Single, titled, Badass. The makers of the film released the second single on Thursday. Like the first single, NAA READY, Leo Second Single reached millions of fans worldwide.
With 10 million real time views, the track titled, BADASS, is composed and sung by Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. Penned down by Vishnu Edavan, the song features the OG Badass, Thalapathy Vijay. The 3:55 minutes long lyric video showcases animated background in Yellow, Red and Black. The video also features Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun in animated version. It further includes Anirudh singing the song energetically while his climax words “REST IN PEACE” has got the attention.
Apart from this, the song includes cues regarding Thalapathy Vijay’s character role in the film. While his name has been revealed as ‘LEO DAS’, there are certain lyrics that elucidate his character. For instance, the lyrics like “Idhu Varayila Nallavana Irundha, Indha Kadhaila Ratchasa Mugam Thaan”, explains that “he was good until now but he is evil in this story.” Several other lyrics also explains the character sketch of Leo Das in the film.
In the fierce vocals of Anirudh, Badass, has added an enhancement to Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is an action thriller drama. Leo is slated to release on 19th October 2023.
