The romantic drama Manmarziyaan starring Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal, and Taapsee Pannu, marks first year anniversary today and “Rumi” gets nostalgic and writes a heartfelt note.
Actress Taapsee Pannu, who played the role of Rumi in the film, a fierce and independent firecracker of a girl, just took to her social media profile and shared a heartfelt note on the film marking its first year anniversary.
She wrote, “1 year and Rumi didn’t leave me, 1 year the RED didn’t leave me, 1 year this love didn’t leave me, 1 year of unleashing the madness within, 1 year of #Manmarziyaan, @anuragkashyap10 @kanika.d @vickykaushal09 @bachchan @khamkhaphotoartist”
The film was helmed by Anurag Kashyap and written by Kanika Dhillon. The film is jointly produced by Phantom Films and Aanand L. Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions. The film was a critical and commercial success.
Meanwhile on the work front, fresh out Mission Mangal success, Taapsee Pannu is shooting for Thappad, which is helmed by Anubhav Sinha.
She is also part of Saand Ki Aankh, which is a sports biopic, based on the lives of sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar. The film is helmed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar.
The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Prakash Jha as main characters
