Shweta Basu who was recently seen in MX player show ‘High’ is all geared up for her next release. She will soon be seen in ‘Comedy Couple’ alongside Saqib Saleem. The film will make its premiere on 21 October only on Zee5. Before the release of the film, Shweta introduced her character ‘Zoya’ to her fans.
Sharing a video which shows various shades of Zoya in the movies, Shweta wrote, “Meet Zoya #comedycouple premiering on 21st October only on ZEE5.”
In the video, one can see Shweta as a standup comedian Zoya along with her husband played by Saqib Saleem. Prior to this, the makers also introduced Saqib’s character ‘Deep’ to the audience . It is a story of a couple who are stand up comedians and they both set the stage on fire with their amazing comic timing. But their life takes a u turn when Deep’s habit of lying is exposed to Zoya. Fans are really excited to see Deep and Zoya’s love story.
The film ‘Comedy Couple’ is an urban rom-com which is directed by Nachiket Samant and produced by Yoodlee Films, which is the film production arm of Saregama India. The film which will be a fun ride is based on a story by Bikas Mihsra with screenplay by Raghav Kakkar and Kashyap Kapoor.
Alongwith Shweta and Saqib, the film also features Pooja Bedi, Rajesh Tailang and Pranay Manchanda in prominent roles. It will premiere on ZEE5 on October 21.
