Amazon has released the official trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedy sequel, official titled “Borat: Subsequent Movie film. The film revolves around Borat and his daughter returning to America after 14 years.
The first Borat, which was officially titled as ‘Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan’ saw Cohat arriving in the US to make a documentary about why the country is so great. This time he is back with his daughter to marry her off to someone who is ‘close to the throne’ by the Oval Office.
The film was shot during the Corona Lockdown as in the trailer you can see Cohen fighting with the virus with not just Lysol but hitting it with pans and pots as well. His fans started to wonder what he was upto when in June the news came out that Cohen had crashed a far right rally in Olympia, Washington and had convinced the crowd to sing a racist song with him.
In addition to this, the film will also take a dig at Mike Pence, Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. The original film is considered to be one of the best comedy films of the 21st Century. It won the Globe award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. It also got the Oscar nomination for best Adapted Screenplay at the 79th Academy Awards.
The film will release on 23 October on Amazon Prime.
