Fresh fruit peels to treat your skin at home!
As fruits are naturally known for their nutrients, it could help provide different health benefits as well as protect your skin from damages. And why not you try using the skins (outer layer) of the fruits for the nourishment of your skin? So, here are the five fruit peels which would be helpful in making your skin healthier and sprinkle a natural glow to your skin.
ORANGE PEEL: Known as a natural face cleanser, it could be amalgamated with other ingredients to alleviate dark spots, lighten acne scars, reduce suntans, hydrate, and provide glowing skin naturally. All you have to do is to mix the dried orange peel with yogurt and use it as a face pack for a refreshing glow and to remove tan. On the other hand, you could use a mixture of orange peel powder, sandalwood powder, and rose water or lemon juice to exfoliate the skin and thus offer you a long-lasting glow.
APPLE PEEL: Highly known for treating the skin from sunburns, cleansing skin, and improving circulation, apples are also known to be delaying aging. As of now, you could use the fresh apple peels to treat your skin at home by mildly wash your skin and rubbing it gently with the peel on your skin in a circular motion. Later, wash your face with cold water and this will cleanse your skin and improves circulation as well.
BANANA PEEL: Banana peels are highly beneficial as it contains several nutrients like the fruit itself. All you have to do is gently rub the inner portion of a banana peel on the affected area of your skin and leave it for 30 minutes or overnight and wash it the next day. PAPAYA PEEL: Papaya contains an enzyme called papain which naturally present under the peel of unripe papaya. It is helpful for skin brightening and averts sagging skin. So, you could prepare your own face pack by blending the papaya peel with honey and lime to make a pasty mixture. Now, leave it for about 20 minutes and then rinse it with lukewarm water. It would result in smooth and glowing skin.
POMEGRANATE PEEL: Due to the presence of antioxidants, pomegranate would control the production of free radicals that damage the skin cells. You could use dried pomegranate peel to make a powder and add other ingredients as per your requirement. You could also add lemon juice or rose water to battle acne, pimples, and rashes and with milk to prevent signs of aging.
